Blood Testing
Hospital only.  Least used drug test.  Can only detect drugs for a few hours.  Very intrusive.  Not recommended.

Hair Testing
Mountain Peeks
-Need ½” of hair (If you get down to the root you will get a 90 day sample)
-Must be a sterile sample, not off of the floor.
-Does not work for alcohol
$85/Mountain Peeks or $175 done in Nevada

Saliva Test
Has to be done 12 – 24 hours after use after drug use.  Eating or drinking can inhibit the test.  Check out http://www.drugtestyourteen.com

*The amount of cocain in the saliva correlates with the physiological and euphoric effects of cocaine including heart rate and self reported feeling of cocoaine rush.

Advantages – Easier to collect than urine, less objectionable in nature, presence of the parent drug in higher abundance than metabolites, high correlation between the concentrations of drug found in the blood and that which is detected in the saliva.

Disadvantages – Risk of contamination of saliva from drug use by the oral, smoked, and the intranasal routes; this can skew correlation between saliva and blood drug concentrations which distorts pharmacokinetic relationships. (ie) marijuana smoking can contaminate saliva for cocoaine. Doesn’t check entire drug history as with hair testing.

Skin Wipes
A patch that stays on the skin for several days.  Must be kept air tight.
